Couture
A totally unique wall covering that has received the acclaim of designers and design publications everywhere, this Collection takes the concept of couture fashion and applies it to wall surfaces, providing a rich elegance not found in any other wallcovering.
We begin with any of the 16 paper colors from our China Wall Collection - Imperial Scrolls Papers. We then sew to the papers hand made and colored silk ribbons in one of 4 different patterns. Depending on the pattern, the effect on the wall is totally different:
- The "x" pattern creates a silk diamond formatted "trellis".
- The "+" pattern creates an elegant silk plaid.
- Three horizontal lines can be used to create horizontal silk stripes or borders.
- Three vertical lines can be used to create vertical silk stripes or to frame a wall.

OPENING NIGHT
This collection is made with a single layer of 1 ½" wide silk ribbon that we hand dye in 16 different color ways. We edge dye the ribbon to create a unique "burnished edge" that is rich and elegant and yet startling in effect. This collection creates wall surfaces that are three dimensional, very soft in appearance, and graphic. The knots, created when installing this collection, are soft and flowing.
ENCORE
The ultimate! A ½" wide silk ribbon available in any of 16 colors, is sewn over the top of a 1 ½" wide ribbon available in any of 16 different colors. We then tie Murano glass beads on the ends of the narrower ribbon. The knots created when installing this collection are rich in color, texture and detail, like an elegant tassel on an evening gown. The effect is definitely Haute Couture.
